Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
- Define end-to-end Blue Planet MDSO orchestration architecture across fulfillment and service lifecycle domains
- Translate business and product requirements into service models, orchestration workflows, and integration patterns
- Establish architectural standards for model-driven orchestration, service decomposition, and lifecycle management
- Ensure alignment between target-state architecture and existing OSS/BSS systems
- Define and govern YANG-based service and resource models
- Lead service decomposition strategy across:
- Customer-Facing Services (CFS)
- Resource-Facing Services (RFS)
- Map product models and commercial constructs to executable service definitions
- Establish reusable modeling patterns and standards for scalability
- Define orchestration design patterns using MDSO workflows and JavaScript-based logic
- Establish standards for:
- Service decomposition logic
- Conditional workflow execution
- Data transformation and orchestration control flows
- Ensure orchestration design supports automation, scalability, and operational efficiency
- Define API-driven integration strategy across OSS/BSS systems using REST/JSON and TMF APIs
- Align orchestration with integration layers including middleware and API gateways
- Ensure clean separation between orchestration logic and external system dependencies
- Support integration with:
- Inventory and assurance platforms
- Network management systems
- ITSM platforms
- Act as the primary technical interface across:
- Program leadership and stakeholders
- Engineering and development teams
- Integration and API teams
- Vendor and partner organizations
- Provide architectural guidance and oversight across multiple concurrent workstreams
- Establish and enforce architectural governance, design reviews, and standards
- Define modeling, orchestration, and integration best practices
- Ensure consistency across service models, workflows, and APIs
- Support documentation of architecture, design decisions, and standards
- Support transition from legacy fulfillment and orchestration models to modern, API-driven architectures
- Guide development teams in implementing architecture-aligned solutions
- Identify risks, gaps, and optimization opportunities across the solution landscape
- Ensure architecture supports long-term scalability and operational resilience
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in telecommunications architecture, OSS/BSS, or network systems
- Proven experience designing service orchestration solutions using Blue Planet MDSO
- Deep expertise in:
- YANG-based service modeling
- Service decomposition (CFS/RFS)
- Model-driven orchestration architectures
- Strong understanding of:
- OSS/BSS systems and service lifecycle management
- API-driven integration and REST architectures
- Experience operating within Tier 1 service provider environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with additional Blue Planet components:
- BPI (Business Process Integration)
- UAA (User Access and Administration)
- Familiarity with TM Forum frameworks and APIs (e.g., TMF 633, 638, 641, 688)
- Experience with API-led integration approaches (e.g., MuleSoft or similar)
- Exposure to network domains including WAN, SD-WAN, and enterprise services
- Experience with ITSM platforms and operational integration patterns
